2011 RED COLLAR CHARDONNAY

Red Collar wines are inspired by the Black Dog, who like us, lives outside the blue and white collar world. Our Red Collar effort is to bring truly well-made value based wines to wine lovers of all types.

Our first Red Collar Chardonnay comes from the late, but very pleasant 2011 vintage. The growing season threw a curveball, but thankfully mild and dry fall weather allowed for a near perfect maturation. Our 2011 Chardonnay was stainless and French Oak barrel fermented. We didn’t allow malo-lactic secondary fermentation to occur to keep a nice acid structure and more fruit notes. This wine is Chablis-esque in nature and is wonderful summertime sipper on a warm afternoon with or without food.
